The concept

Field. is a modular, multi-use indoor activity space in the heart of Southend-on-Sea. We take underused civic space and turn it into something the town actually needs — a place that belongs to everyone.

The space is always in flux. One day a skatepark, the next a basketball court, a film night, a children's session, a yoga class, a market. The infrastructure moves. The energy stays.

Born from over 25 years in the skate, art and music scene, Field. has been developed by leaders in the community who know this town and what it's missing.

The Space

Seven modes.
One field.

The space reconfigures constantly. Whatever it is today, it will be something else tomorrow. That's the point.

Skate

Modular concrete ramps and street elements. Open sessions, coaching and skate club programming for all ages.

Play

Basketball, street hockey, jump rope and more. The floor is yours — whatever game you bring.

Café

A proper café and social space. Field. own-brand coffee, food and a place to sit.

Events

Film screenings, live music, talks, exhibitions and markets. The whole space transforms.

Youth

After-school sessions, supervised teaching and youth club programming.

Culture

Artist collaborations, zines, limited edition drops and creative residencies.

Wellness

Yoga, movement classes and accessible physical activity. Open to all.

The Park

What it is

An indoor skatepark built for everyone.

Field. houses a fully modular indoor skatepark on a polished concrete floor. The layout changes regularly — keeping sessions fresh and the space alive.

Concrete elements with polystyrene cores, shifted with pump trucks overnight. What's a street plaza today could be a flow course tomorrow.

A proper café at the heart of Field.

Our café and seating zone establish Field. as a welcoming third space for families, young people and visitors. Field. own-brand coffee, seasonal food, and a retail offer that brings together skate hardware, clothing, wellness products and locally made goods.

Movement for everyone.

Yoga, movement classes and accessible physical activity outside of traditional sports systems. Field. is open to all — no gym membership, no intimidating environment, no barriers.

The space clears completely for wellness sessions. Polished concrete, high ceilings, natural light. A genuinely great environment to move in.
